UniControl: Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

UniControl ("the app") is a remote control app for Roku devices. This policy explains what data the app handles. We do not run our own servers and we do not create user accounts.

Data that stays on your device

Local network access

The app sends commands directly from your phone to your Roku over your local Wi-Fi network (HTTP, port 8060). To find devices, it checks local network addresses for a Roku. This traffic never leaves your local network and is not sent to us.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. You can reset or disable your advertising ID in your device settings. See how Google uses data. Ads are removed after the one-time purchase.

Purchases (RevenueCat)

The one-time "remove ads" purchase is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, purchase information and basic device data. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details.

What we do not do

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13.

Your choices

You can delete your saved TVs by uninstalling the app. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
